The Color Dare blog is celebrating their 200th challenge. I have participated in a few and this one begged me to join in. The colors I had to use were: Ruby, Sapphire, and Colonial White. My daughter and I used these colors while making the bridal shower invites for her friend so I had plenty of scraps to incorporate.
I knew I wanted to use last months CTMH's Stamp of the Month "The Long Way Home" and line up the cars, so I took out my MISTI.
My base is Sapphire cut at 5.5 x 4.25. The Colonial White is cut at 5.25 x 4. I placed the white card-stock on the bottom center edge of my MISTI. After placing the stamp so the image would be centered on the bottom third of the card I inked it.
The magnets included with the MISTI kept the card stable while I used the my overlays and the background grid to line up the car again.
I used Sapphire to ink the center car and Ruby for the car in front of and behind the center car.
The MISTI and grid made it easy to figure out where to to place the stamps on my top half of the card. I cut the retired Regatta paper 2 inches x 5.25. and placed it on the top half of my card. I found Tim Holtz Air Mail Paper String in my stash and glued it down with my Art Glitter Glue.
