For Christmas my son decided to give me something to support my paper crafting hobby. So he gave me money to order some stamping kits. For my first kit I decided to order the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of The Month FEBRUARY 2017 COFFEE TEA AND COCOA (CK0217). You can subscribe to the kit, and they will send you an email each month before it is ready to ship. You will not receive it unless you click on the link in the email and pay for it. If you do not want it for that month, simple do not reply. The kits sell out quickly, but you can buy the products separately. Visit the website for more information on what comes in the kit.
I have seen many videos where someone gets the kit and makes 10 cards. I wanted to make sure I did not let this be another box of stash I never use, so when it arrived Saturday, I jumped right in. I was rather impressed with myself. One of the cards was inspired by the photo samples provided on the flyer, but the rest come from my noggin!
The Doodlebug 6x6 Cream and Sugar Papers were beautiful and so much fun to work with as were the Doodlebug Shape Sprinkles Latte Love.
Now for the cards:
Card 1: I used a stitched flag die I ordered a few months ago. The tea cup, teabag and quote were all part of the Coffee and Tea stamp set. I used some craft paper from my stash on a few of the cards.
Card 2: I stamped the to go cups with black archival ink and colored the wrapper with my Zig Watercolor markers. Using Hero arts white embossing powder on the sentiment made it really pop.
Card 3: This one may be my favorite. Using the flag stitched die, and an Oval Stitched Die I cut the white paper and some craft card stock. Both of the stamps are included in the stamp set.
Card 4 & 5: For these two cards I used the same paper I had cut and placed them in reverse order on the cards. The flag is the smallest from the flag die set, and the stickers are from the kit. The You & Tea statement is two separate stamps in the kit.
Card 6: This is the card inspired from the handout/website, I moved the flag die from the center to the left side of the card, but other than that is straight from the image they provided.
Card 7: The flag dies make the card making easy. The hardest part is they were to long to make the card vertical, so I had to make this one horizontal. How cute is that iced coffee?!
Card 8: Included in the kit is the Simon Says Stamp COFFEE LOVE Wafer Die. It makes these little adorable to go cups.
Card 9: I was getting toward the end of the paper packet and loved these little cups and faces. I cut a stitched oval so I could tuck it behind our banner. The strip is the back of the cup paper on the top of the card.
Card 10: My final card! I love how the to go cup looks stamped on the pink dotted paper! The Love you Lattie strip was from the paper pack as well.
And I even had some left overs to create a little more!
I hope this gives you a little inspiration for the March card kit, or just if you want to create 10 quick cards. Enjoy!
